Our Program

Rain Basketball is a certified member of the Amateur Athletic Union club (AAU), which consists of non-school, competitive basketball teams, often called club basketball or travel basketball.

Rain offers a Skills Academy that enrolls students aged 5 to 16 and has three tiers – beginner, intermediate, and advanced, based upon the players’ skills. Rain’s summer basketball camps are all co-hosted by a former NBA player who will teach, train, test, and improve every child’s skillset. They rent school gymnasiums for their programs which provides a needed source of revenue for the schools.

Rain’s dedicated girls and boys high school basketball programs are designed to equip students with the skills necessary to compete at a college level. Teams practice with professional coaches who teach the fundamentals of teamwork, discipline, ball movement, team defense, offensive play execution and much more. Rain athletes consistently earn scholarships to prestigious universities and enjoy a collegiate basketball career.

Basketball tournaments are where Rain athletes are able to showcase their skills, build their team chemistry, gain playing experience and are spotted by college basketball recruiters. Upper-level teams compete in Under Armour’s (UA) elite tournaments that focus on developing and showcasing young basketball talent, particularly those at the high school and college levels, and attracts over 500 college and professional scouts annually.

How Donations Help

How Donations Help

Donations provide funds for scholarships for at-risk youth to participate in its program. The annual cost for a student for the 11-month program is $3000, and covers coaching fees, tournament fees, court costs, uniform packages and insurance. This price tag puts the program out of reach for many of the students that need it most. Scholarships open the door to opportunity, growth, and education for these youth.

Wrap-Around Support services for Families in Need

Donations sustain and expand the support programs Rain offers through its partnerships with mental health organizations, educational institutions, tutoring, food assistance, and other practical help for struggling families. Contributions also offset the travel costs for tournaments, allowing more students to participate and potentially to be recruited by college basketball coaches.

Help Us Make It Rain!

In basketball, the term “rain” means a player is making all his shots – thus the name Rain Basketball – “We make it rain!” Your gift will make it rain for so many young people, boys and girls, who will have a chance to make all their shots in life.
